“David’s great grandfather was made one of the chiefs of the Acholi people after he had killed
some wild animals that were terrifying the villages around Kitgum in the northern area of
Uganda. His grandfather inherited the title of Chief, and was converted to Christianity by an
English missionary visiting northern Uganda. He helped the missionaries to build their churches
and thousands were converted.
There were five sons. The eldest, Janani, became an ardent Christian…..”
